Located near the Holland Tunnel, 14th Street Garden Center is the largest garden center in Jersey City. Michelle’s Green Thumb at Semicolon
Located upstairs inside Semicolon Cafe, Michelle’s Green Thumb is run by Michelle, who discovered her love of plants during the pandemic. Her passion for plant care led her to South Korea, where she learned how to create succulent arrangements as well as environmentally friendly planters.
Grab a coffee and one of Semicolon’s famous egg sandwiches, then wander upstairs to browse the shop’s selection of plants and planters. If you’re interested in learning a new skill, Michelle runs workshops where you can learn how to make your own hand-made products, including can art and moss paintings.

Rudo Plants & Home
Situated in Jersey City Heights, Rudo Plants & Home sells fresh and preserved blooms, plants, greetings cards, candles, home fragrances and other gifts.
This calming oasis is filled with all sorts of plants, including bonsais, terrariums, flowering plants, succulents, cacti and hanging plants. If you need a planter, the store also sells a variety of ceramic, fiber glass and terracotta planters to display your newly-purchased plants in.

Situated near Hamilton Park, Tia Planta is owned by Shayla Cabrera, a former professional nanny who is sometimes affectionately known as “The Plant Nanny”. If you’re headed away on vacation, she even offers plant sitting services so you don’t have to worry about them dying while you’re away!
