Dog Friendly Bars in Jersey City

Want to go out for a few drinks but don’t want to leave your pup at home? Fortunately, there are several dog-friendly bars in Jersey City that will allow you to bring your pup along with you. According to New Jersey state law, establishments that serve food are generally not allowed to accept dogs inside the venue, unless it’s a service animal. Therefore most bars in Jersey City only allow dogs in their patios or outdoor spaces, although some (usually ones that don’t serve food) allow them inside too. Here’s a full list of the best places in Jersey City where you can bring your furry companion to join in the fun!

Golden Cicada

Golden Cicada is a popular local spot with a large outdoor area that allows dogs. In fact, this bar is so dog-friendly that it even has its own instagram to appreciate the local pups! Just check out @cicadapups to see some of the cutest dogs in Jersey City.

A great spot for summertime, Golden Cicada serves a decent selection of cocktails and a Mexican-inspired menu featuring guacamole, quesadillas, tacos and nachos. If you have a sweet tooth, their deep fried oreos are to die for.
